Self-Adhesive Leather Repair Patch 50cm x 138cm for Sofa and Car Interior

This self-adhesive leather repair patch is a practical solution for covering scuffs, small tears, and worn areas on upholstered furniture and car interiors. The patch measures 50cm x 138cm and is 0.5mm thick, giving you a generous sheet that can be cut to suit the size of the repair. It is made from PVC and has a self-adhesive backing, so no stitching or specialist tools are required. With 35 colour options including black, dark coffee, red brown, beige, navy blue, and dark gray, you can choose a shade that blends with your existing sofa, chair, or car seat. The pack contains one repair patch, making it suitable for a single larger repair or several smaller touch-ups.

Features and Construction

The patch is designed for straightforward application on leather-look and vinyl surfaces. Its self-adhesive backing means it can be pressed directly onto the damaged area, and the PVC material provides a smooth, leather-like finish. The 0.5mm thickness gives the patch a low profile that sits close to the surface, while the 50cm x 138cm sheet offers enough material for multiple small repairs or one larger section. The wide colour range helps you find a close match without needing to replace an entire cover or seat.

Material and Build

The patch is made from PVC with a self-adhesive backing. PVC is a synthetic material that can be wiped clean and is often used for leather-look upholstery. The self-adhesive layer allows the patch to bond to the surface without additional glue or stitching. At 0.5mm thick, the patch is thin enough to sit relatively flush with the surrounding material, though it is not described as a structural repair for deep damage. The sheet measures 50cm by 138cm, so you can cut pieces to fit small scuffs or larger worn areas.

Size and Practical Fit

The 50cm x 138cm sheet provides a useful amount of material for different repair sizes. You can cut a small square for a single scuff or a longer strip for a seam or edge. The 0.5mm thickness means the patch adds minimal bulk, which helps it blend into the surface. Because the patch is flexible, it can be applied to curved areas such as car seat bolsters or sofa cushions, but the source information does not specify a minimum bend radius or adhesion strength. Always test on a small inconspicuous area first if you are unsure about compatibility with the surface.

Uses and Placement

This repair patch is intended for covering damage on upholstered items such as sofas, car seats, chairs, and other leather-look surfaces. It is suitable for both household and automotive use, making it a versatile option for quick fixes. The self-adhesive design means you can apply it without removing the cover or using specialist equipment. The wide colour selection helps you match common interior shades, from black and beige to navy blue and dark green.

Event or Professional Use

For professional settings such as waiting rooms, offices, or rental properties, the patch can be used to tidy up worn seating without the cost of full reupholstery. It is also useful for event furniture hire companies that need to quickly cover marks between bookings. The 50cm x 138cm sheet can be cut to size, so you can keep a stock of patches in various colours. The source does not provide commercial wear ratings, so for high-traffic commercial use, consider whether a temporary or permanent repair is appropriate.

Everyday Home Use

At home, the patch is handy for covering scuffs on sofa seats, armrests, and dining chairs. It can also be used on car seats, door panels, and other interior trim. The self-adhesive backing makes it a simple DIY task: clean the area, cut the patch, peel and stick. Because the patch is PVC, it can be wiped with a damp cloth, but the source does not specify cleaning agents or resistance to solvents. For best results, avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the surface.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main benefit of this repair patch is that it allows you to cover damage without replacing the entire item. It is a low-cost alternative to professional reupholstery and can be applied in minutes. The 50cm x 138cm sheet gives you plenty of material, and the 35 colour options increase the chance of a close match. The self-adhesive design means no messy glue or special tools are needed, making it accessible for most users.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

Once applied, the PVC surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The patch is not described as reusable after application, as the adhesive is designed for a permanent bond. However, any unused portion of the 50cm x 138cm sheet can be stored flat for future repairs. The material is not specified as UV-resistant or waterproof, so for outdoor use or areas exposed to strong sunlight, consider whether the patch is suitable for your specific conditions.

Why Choose This Product

Choose this repair patch if you need a straightforward, cut-to-size solution for covering scuffs and tears on leather-look upholstery. It offers a wide colour range, a generous sheet size, and a self-adhesive backing that requires no extra tools. The 0.5mm thickness keeps the patch low-profile, and the PVC material provides a wipe-clean surface. It is not intended to replace structural repairs, but for cosmetic fixes on sofas, car seats, and chairs, it provides a practical and affordable option.
