It is supplied with a 1.6 metre retro hemp rope cord and a built-in switch, offering a complete and ready-to-install lighting solution for restaurants seeking ambient decor, bedrooms needing a focal point, or homestays aiming for authentic stylistic detail. The combination of material craftsmanship and practical design provides a source-supported aesthetic suitable for various themed spaces.

Features and Construction

This chandelier's build focuses on material authenticity and practical fitting details. The construction directly influences its visual appeal and installation flexibility.

Material and Build

The core materials are brass, hand-blown hard glass, and walnut wood. The brass components undergo a brushed surface treatment followed by an anti-oxidation process, which aims to preserve the finish. The glass lampshade is crafted using a vintage technique, described as pure hand-blown hard glass, and is further finished with a copper-dyed black-sealed glaze. This glaze is applied through a process involving hand-stitching and polishing. The walnut wood provides a contrasting warm accent to the metallic and glass elements, completing the material palette.

Size and Practical Fit

Key provided dimensions ensure straightforward installation. The ceiling plate measures 9 cm in diameter, offering a stable mounting point. The integrated light cord is a 1.6 metre-long braided hemp rope, designed in a retro style, which determines the maximum hanging distance from the ceiling. The fixture uses a standard E27 lamp holder, ensuring broad compatibility with commonly available light bulbs. A practical feature is the brass knob switch located directly on the lamp head, allowing for easy manual control without requiring a separate wall switch.

Uses and Placement

With its defined aesthetic and flexible cord length, this chandelier suits several specific environments. Its design supports both functional lighting and decorative roles.

Event or Professional Use

For professional settings like restaurants, cafés, or boutique hotels, this chandelier serves as an atmospheric centrepiece. The Japanese retro style can help establish a specific thematic decor, contributing to a memorable customer experience. The durability suggested by the brass anti-oxidation treatment and hard glass is relevant for commercial spaces where fixtures face regular use. The 1.6 metre cord allows for installation over dining tables, reception areas, or lounge spaces without requiring complex electrical modifications.

Everyday Home Use

In residential contexts such as bedrooms, living rooms, or dedicated homestay guest rooms, the chandelier acts as a strong decorative focal point. The built-in knob switch offers convenient operation in a bedroom setting. The warm tones from the brass, walnut, and potential bulb choice can create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Its design makes it suitable for spaces where the owner wishes to incorporate a crafted, vintage-inspired element without undertaking a full renovation.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in its complete kit, material construction, and the specific aesthetic it delivers. It addresses a clear decorative need with practical considerations.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The product arrives as a complete fitting, including a bulb for reference, reducing the need for immediate additional purchases. The described brass anti-oxidation treatment implies an intention for the finish to be long-lasting with minimal upkeep, requiring only occasional dusting. The hard glass construction suggests the shade is less fragile than typical thin glass, supporting its use over time. The standard E27 fitting ensures the light source can be easily replaced or upgraded in the future, extending the fixture's functional life.

Why Choose This Product

This chandelier is a match for buyers specifically seeking a Japanese retro style with visible craft details like hand-blown glass and brushed brass. It is distinct from simpler, mass-produced fixtures due to these stated material processes. The inclusion of a long hemp rope cord and integrated switch provides immediate installation utility. With multiple finish options available—from multi-head bronze designs to specific patterns like Lantern, Leaves, or Octagon—it offers a degree of customisation to fit different interior colour schemes and design intensities.
